The Anti-Corruption Unit in State House, led by Lt. Col. Edith Nakalema, in collaboration with the Uganda Police, has rescued a Ugandan lady from the Middle East.

33-year old Juliet Awulo’s ordeal started in November 2018 when Tirajo Employment Agencies allegedly deceived her that she had been recruited to work in Canada only to end up in the Middle East.

The Agency, however, later changed its name to High Ground International Uganda Ltd.Officials of the Anti-corruption Unit have revealed that Awulo complained of being abused and tortured during her stay there but her pleas to the agency to be returned to Uganda, yielded no positive results.
